Weekly Update Sept 30

Here it is, the last day of September, and I have been doing this blog for 2 months now.  Almost 1000 people have seen this blog.  The week was a good one.  I walked twice and went to the gym twice, because I had a doctors appointment and to meet with the nutritionist   Both are happy with my progress to weight loss surgery.  I asked the nutritionist about popcorn.  She said it was ok, as long as we brought our own popcorn to the movies and not buy theirs.  So yesterday, I bought popcorn in individual bags for our next movie night.  Still do not know if I want to do the surgery or not.  I was reminded by a work friend, that I have to do it for me and only me.   Weekly net weight loss:  2.2 lbs.  I lost all the weight that I gained plus .1 of a pound more. 

Weekly Update Sept 23

Sea Stack at the Cliffs of Mohr Trying to catch up from the trip to Ireland this week.  Had to go back to work on Thursday, and it was hard getting back into the swing of work.  Trying to get back on track to eating and tracking what I eat.  We noted that we did not eat any American fast food while in Ireland.  We did eat at three fish and chips places.  Had so much bread and potatoes last week.   Got right back to walking and going to the gym, that was not hard at all.  Did pretty good with the walking in Dublin.  When I set up the trip I planned on not renting a car in Dublin so we walked or took public transit most of the time.  My step count was about what a normal week would have been.   Weekly weight loss:  gained 2.1 lbs. I could be disappointed in this last weeks results, but I am not.  I did really good with my weight last week.  I eat a lot of stuff I would not normally eat.  And the days I gained all the weight back was the day of travel and and my first day ba

Weekly Update Finally!!!

Sorry that this is late but we got home late last night.  Our trip to Ireland was amazing!  We got to see people I had not seen for almost 30 years.  The Customs line in the Dublin Airport almost killed me, and it took me  till Thursday to recover.   We walked a lot in Dublin.  I did not worry about eating while I was there, and that made the trip more enjoyable, but we are back to the diet and food log again today.  Weekly weight loss for the week ending on the 16th:  5.1 lbs.

Weekly Update Sept 9

Up late trying to get things ready for the trip to Ireland.  This has been a busy week of making phone calls and two doctors appointments.  We are also trying to form a plan for eating while we are gone.  Temptation is going to be great this next 9 days, with all the chirps (potato chips flavors you could imagine) and the different Candies.  It has been over 4 months since I have had a potato chip,  So I may have to start that trend over again when I get back. Next week update will be  little late. weekly net weight loss:  3.5 lbs

Weekly Update Sept 2

It has been a really good week.  I lost a lot of weight this week.  Which has left me with with some doubts.  Is surgery the right way to go?  Can I lose the weight on my own, and how long will it take me?  Still more questions to ask and to be answered.  Still have time to make up my mind.  But I know I am on a good path right now.  I stand at a fork in the road and wonder which way to go.  Net weight loss for the week:   4.5 lbs.
