Weekly update Oct 28
The last update for the Month of October. And I have been doing this blog for three full months. It has been a busy week of doctor's appointments and test. That being said, that has thrown off my walking and workout schedule for this week. Finally broke a mile in my walking on Monday. It has been a long time, since I have walked a mile on one of my walks. First time since I really started the walking back up again. So I have not walked the rest of the week, until Saturday. On Saturdays, I usually do a short walk and then go to the gym. My short walk Saturday was a half mile walk. And it felt good to get out there and walk.
Went to my last weigh in for the weight loss surgery. Everything looks good and they are going to summit the paperwork to the insurance, and then schedule the surgery. This is going to happen!! So with that being said, they require a EKG and blood work. So After the appointment, we went over and got the EKG, and got the blood work done on Friday.
On Thursday I went to get a breathing test done. The last test I needed to do with the lung doctor. Well almost. I do have to wear a oxygen meter at night, that will measure the oxygen in my blood. If it comes back good, then he will have all the oxygen equipment removed from my home.
With the diet that I am on, I am limited to 50 carbs a day. Most days I eat some where between 25 and 35 carbs a day. I some time go over but not by much. Yesterday, I was at the store and wanted something different. I saw a yogurt smoothie and looked at the carbs and thought I saw it was only 5 carbs. When I went to drink it, I scanned it, and it came up to 15 carbs. I was shocked. I drank it, which was not very good tasting at all. So I learned to scan first before I buy if I really question it.
With Halloween on Wednesday, I am kind of sad that I can not enjoy any of the candy this year. Having no kids, I would usually buy the candy for myself. Last year I bought a big bag for about $4 and limited myself to two pieces a day. I put it in a bag I could not see what was inside and would pull out two pieces, never knowing what I was going to get. That bag lasted me over a month. So if there is any candy at work, that means none for me. The low carb Reese's do not tastet anything like the real thing!!!!
Net weight loss for the week: 1.2 lbs.
